California

Frances and I flew into LA for a few mama/baby vacation days. Lots of wandering around town and eating at our favorite spots. I can’t believe these weren’t her first times at these places.. makes me feel like she’s been around forever. Musts for us: in & out, Gjelina, Verve coffee. And I’m really not one for sweets, but I always love going to get ice cream for Frances, so we bore the wait at Salt and Straw.  Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCO with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Probably my favorite day was the day we finally met up with John. Frances and I drove to Palm Springs after a few days in LA and she was ALL smiles to see dad. Waving and giggling throughout breakfast at one of our favorite spots, Kings Highway. Then we hopped in our suits and played at the pool all day. Frances even napped in her stroller at the pool(!!!???).  Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Sort of obsessed with famous Modern houses and Palm Springs is the place to see em. This is the Kaufmann house. It’s for sale, and if you’ve got 12 million, she’s yours!  Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Who knew there were waterfalls in Palm Springs? Ace Hotel. Grab dinner and a drink at Kings Highway and hang at the pool.

The Parker. Skip the over priced breakfast(sorry?) and just walk around the grounds and snag a drink at the lemonade stand.

Workshop is amazing design wise. And the food is ok. Everyone will tell you they love the food  but I feel so spoiled with our food here in Chicago that it was nothing special. The design though. You have to go anyway.

Cheeky’s. You just have to. I’m cringing saying it, but just go. Get there early or you’ll wait. Have a bacon flight and breakfast negroni.

Get an airbnb with a pool. My suggestion is the Amado.

And what’s a trip with California with Sand Diego.  Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset These two photos are about a year apart on the same hike!  ca_0056 Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset ca_0058

Ergo baby takeover

Earlier this summer I got the chance to take over the Ergo Instagram with a day in our life with our carrier. We love adventuring and never do without our Ergo.

Every morning begins bright and early around here with a coffee from our in home barista/dad @johnstoffer. Then we sneak back into bed for some extra snuggles while we enjoy our lattes and some reading to Frances from her Storybook Bible. 01 Ergo Baby X Maura Stoffer Gotta refuel constantly around here while nursing. 02 Ergo Baby X Maura Stoffer I work full time from home, which means Frances comes to work with me everyday. She helps keep the mood light and is a constant reminder of what’s important.  Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Afternoon snacks with my crew.
